Australian guitarist, producer, singer-songwriter and femme fatale Milan Ring catapults us into the future with new single "2063"
Forget Netflix and chill, press play on " 2063 " by Australian chanteuse Milan Ring and melt into it's oscillating cadence. The track favours the multi-instrumentalists idyllic neo 90s R&B influence, while remaining firmly planted in the realms of modern, future soul.
Opening with the schism of radio transmissions before sliding into Milan’s signature euphonic melodies, the self-produced gem features glamorous, layered guitar licks and textured beats. Thematically, the storyline flirts with the notion that lovers are able to communicate telepathically.
"2063" is essentially a love song about focusing on the important things and not getting caught up in the negative chatter, but it also plays upon the telepathic connection I believe we can have with our loved ones. Like when you think of someone right before they call" - says Milan.
Milan Ring has found herself in the studio with SZA, LL Cool J, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more. Her accolades include co-writing D.R.A.M's record ' I'll Be Back Again ’ with The Social Experiment Crew (Chance The Rapper’s band) in L.A.
The concepts of duality (Ying & Yang), spirituality and personal evolution are a constant source of inspiration to Milan’s artistry, as is the influence of her environment. From the sparkling city of Angels to humble Australian outback bedroom beats, her music is a rendezvous between polarities.
"2063" is out on April 6th via Milan’s own label MXMAY
