Hailing from Italy, promising Italian duo Flaremode have been bringing some zesty beats to the EDM game as of late! Formed by long-time comrades Jonny and Francesco, since kicking off with their first release in 2013, Flaremode have gone from strength to strength – both in their productions and riveting on-stage performances. 2017 has been a game-changing year for the pair, who, first up scored themselves support from the biggest legends of the scene. With Nicky Romero premiering stunning floor-filler “Best Of Life” on Protocol Radio, to Timmy Trumpet dropping “Drill Machine” on Tomorrowland’s monstrous mainstage, it seems as though Flaremode are riding an impressive wave to stardom. Back with a vengeance, these exotic Italians are ready to make a statement with their latest release “Cocobolo,” which will be available on newly-launched EDM imprint CAPSLOCK. Comprising of foot-thumping basslines, a body-shaking melody and groovy synths, “Cocobolo” will immerse you into a fantasy festival world!
Flaremode – Cocobolo, already played by names like David Guetta, Quintino, Dannic, R3hab, MAKj, Mike Williams, Ummet Ozkan, Promise Land and many more, is out now via CAPSLOCK Recordings!
How are the Clubs/ Parties / Festivals in Asia?
Parties in Asia are just crazy. There’s no other place in the world with a crowd like that . People’s attending DJs shows in Asia are there for the music, you can feel it, you can feel their energy and it’s amazing to see how the crowd react to the dance music.
South East Asia, all the Asean countries are simply special, the food and the culture are amazing and i love to stay there specially for the weather! is always hot, is like an endless summer!
Which places (Clubs/Party/Festivals) of your tour did you enjoy more and how it was?
I been like everywhere in Asia and now i’m about to start my 3rd tour there. This time i’ll play in China, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. The place where i’m always excited to come back is the “Main Room Club” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have a strong relationship with this club because is where i played for the first time in Asia.
What type of Electronic Music is a tendency there now?
In Asia you can play every genre , you can “go hard” as much as you want. The queen of the dancefloor there is still the Big Room house, it keep rising every year. In europe, at the moment, most of the DJs are changing their sound into something close to the “Pop Music”, a good example is the explosion of the “Future Bass” genre. I’m happy about that, because we'll have fewer competitors then ahah
You just released your new song “Cocobolo” , and it’s already played by big names like David Guetta, R3hab, Dannic and many more. What’s the story behind this song ?
Yes!! Me and my partner Francesco produced “Cocobolo” almost one year ago. In that period we decided to go back to our roots, to bring back our funky groovy sound so we came up with the idea to mix funky instruments with future house synths! At the same time i was watching on Netflix the famous series “Better Call Saul” and this is how we found the title! “Cocobolo” is the name of the fancy Desk that the main character of the series bough for his office! We are really happy about this new release, mostly to see that most of the support is coming from really big DJs and producers, you know David Guetta is absolutely our favourite ones, we grow up with him, so you can imagine
the feeling we had seeing him playing our song.
What about your future projects and future releases?
Oh! We have so many! Just to name few, November 20th we will release a new electro house track called “House Of Psy” and then in December we will release another track called “Darkest Hour”! We also have a new release signed on Armada Trice / Eclypse Records (Record label of Feenixpawl and Jason Forté) called "My Religion" that will be released later this year! Next week we will leave for our Asian tour with dates in Thailand, Malaysia, China, Philippines and Taiwan !
