Dua Lipa to performing in massive music festivals around the globe (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland just to name a few), the world’s no.1 DJ more commonly known as Martin Garrix is currently showing no signs of stopping. Over the years, Garrix has continued to share his passion for music with the world not only through his breathtaking releases as a producer but also through his dedicated shows and live performances as a DJ.
Hailing from Amstelveen in the Netherlands, Garrix began his music career by working on projects together with artists such as Julian Jordan and TV Noise. Garrix then signed to Dutch dance record label, Spinnin' Records in the year 2012 and released the track, Animals in 2013 which is now recognised and loved by millions of electronic music fans around the world. Entered DJ Mag’s top 100 2013 list at number 40. The following year, Garrix was listed at number 4 cutting through 36 rankings in a mere year.
In the year 2016, Garrix launched his own record label known as STMPD RCRDS which aims at supporting and nurturing the production of unique and diverse electronic music. That same year, it was announced that he had entered a global deal with Sony Music International. To top it all off, Garrix was awarded the no.1 position on DJ Mag’s 2016 Top 100 DJs poll.
