SO, hmmmm, Sofitel are pitching for a punch this Thai New Year – instead of following the trends of wet and wild fun, they have come up with a stand-alone concept that is sure to champion the ravers and clubbers alike.
Yeah, no nam (short for water in Thai), in this one, apart from the sweat and tears of the DJ’s as they go for blood – or at least pumping hearts – as they scrap it out turntable stylee on Firday the 13th.
So at least on this synonymous Friday someone will have good luck but who will win out of the Techno vs House battle? And, actually, who cares – because if you love house you surely love a bit of Techno and if you are the other way, then a bit of House is always a pleasure, never a chore… Can’t imagine they’ll be a dull moment in the ring (dancefloor), at HI-SO Rooftop Bar Bangkok this Songkran, seems to me the only exodus on the 13th will be when the music stops, lights go up and the drinks stop flowing. Kudos House 101, forget water balloons, just blow it up with the sound alone.
