Hi Ninni, your sound had a big evolution in the past 3 years, can you explain to us what's this new Festival Future Bass genre that you are trying to launch ?
- Hi Dj Mag Asean! It's a pleasure for me being featured in your magazine! "Festival Future Bass" is one of the new genres that I'm tryng to launch. I've started producing Future Bass tracks in early 2016 and I've been experiencing a weird phenomenon, even if I've achieved huge amounts of streams on Spotify and lot of radio plays. I felt like something was missing (expecially when it came to play that kind of music live). I succeeded to merge the classic Future Bass with Progressive House, giving it much more strenght and adding so many cool elements who are typical to all my tracks. Festival Future Bass won't be my definitive genre, I'm working on different directions, I love so much to experiment in the studio and soon I'll make sure to come out with something crazier and fresher!
What about your next releases ? Any hot collaboration on the way?
- I got 6 new signed releases with Smash The House, which is crazy! Each new track is a whole universe of feelings and emotions. That's the musical direction I'm taking,I like to make music who can make you cry and dance at the same time. Not all of them are "danceable" so that's why I'll release for each new release, a festival mix! For now i'm running a new remix contest for my latest track with the talented singer Re Bel "Show Your Flame". I'm giving the opportunity to every valuable DJs and producers all over the world to win a collaboration with me. I got some other open projects with some very famous dj but let's just say that this "intel is classified"!
This year you played all over the world! where you will go this summer?
- This has been a very important year for my career, I got the chance of performing in some of the most incredible stages in the world such as Tomorrowland, Medusa Spain and Mexico,Bringing The Madness,Big Mountain Music Festival in Thailand and many others. 2018 opened its gates with an incredible Asia Tour, I've met so many awesome people in China where I've been performing in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanchang, Nantong, Shenzhen and many other places, they truly treated me like a king! Thailand was also incredibly awesome,Bangkok and Udon Thani were out of this world, so was EDM Raveground in Phnom Pehn (Cambodia) where I got to know the craziest EDM kids in the whole Asia. Right now i'm touring around europe and specially in Italy, my country. For sure my most awaited upcoming show is my second Tomorrowland Mainstage appearance on July 28th, but also Medusa Spain for the second year in a row where I'll be performing in front of 50.000 people! I'll be back soon in my beloved Ibiza, and for the first time I'll visit South Africa where I'll perform in Johannesburg this summer! It's gonna be a hell of a night! I'm also planning to come back to Thailand and China this summer. Many doors are opening for me at the moment!
Can you name 5 "must play" tracks in your sets?
- I generally only play my own productions in my sets, in order to make my fans experience a pure ANGEMI concert.. But my top 5 is without any doubts : Eric Prydz vs. Hans Zimmer - Opus Interstellar (ANGEMI Remix) ; Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash feat. John Martin - Reload (ANGEMI 2K18 Flip) ; ANGEMI feat. Re Bel - Show Your Flame ; ANGEMI feat. Re Bel - Wishing Loud ; KURA & ANGEMI - On Your Side
Any advice for the up and coming producers?
- The key for getting known is always making good beats in the studio and be creative in and outside of the studio. You always have to love what you're doing, love the people who are following you and keep on doing your best day by day. The climb to success isn't easy and sometimes could be full of obstacles and people who only wants to take advantage of you, so be careful and always make sure you have true and good people around you to get your back. That's the best advice I can give,I can stay hours talking about mixing or producing tips but I believe would be better for people to follow me on Instagram Stories where daily I deliver some of my technical knowledge.
Leave a message for your fans in Asia.
- I've met several amazing persons during my Asia tours, starting from 2015 when I first hit Vietnam and Malaysia and I got to know for the first time the amazing asian world. Well, asians have something else, they're kind and they generally they treat us very good. I love every single country in Asia, and I really hope I can visit all of them. One of my biggest dreams is to play in India where I have an awesome fanbase. Every culture is different and similar at the same time but exploring diversity makes me feel alive. Just wanted to thank all my asian fans for the amazing support they're giving me everyday and I really hope I can return all this love back to each of everyone of them as soon as possible. Peace!
We thanks ANGEMI for this interview and we wish him the best luck for his upcoming projects!

As a duo, Junkilla have fought years to get to the point they are now. They believe that through continued perseverance they will fulfill their vision. This vision is simple: become Korea’s first world touring household electronic act by delivering fantastic music and an energetic live performance that will blow the audience away.
Junkilla is able to tap into the core electronic music fans. In addition, their high interest in gaming also places them well in the community of gamers, and the established culture of e-sports in South Korea. Finally, their new musical direction, as well as the support of the fanatic gamers and EDM fans, brings the opportunity of branching out into a wider, more mainstream audience.
We had the chance to sit down with the guys for an exclusive interview! Enjoy it!
- You guys are one of the best EDM rising duo in Asia! How did everything started?
We became close friends since we started off as underground DJs in Itaewon. As DJs, we've been doing underground, maniac genres of music and one day, we decided to work as a duo to experience a bigger world. Thanks to Sony Music Korea, we started producing bright and uplifting tracks that more audiences can enjoy. This EP "Surge" expresses emotions as human beings such as love or loneliness.
- In which country do you prefer to perform most?
We would love to perform in China because we've never been there. Also we've been hearing from other DJs how Chinese festival or club scene built up a high-quality production in such short period of time. Our single tracks "Without You" and "Daydream" are getting positive feedbacks and huge numbers of streaming on DSPs in China. We would love to perform in China within this year and meet up with our fans to show our energy on stage.
- Can you name 5 "must play" songs from your live set?
- Which artists influenced you the most?
We listen to so many musicians on a daily basis and recently, we have been inspired to artists such as Sevdaliza, Majid Jordan, Lada Del ray, Poter Robinson, Gramatik, etc. Too many artists that inspired us as a producer that we cannot choose one specific musician.
- What's your plan for the next future?
Many new singles and VIP mixes are waiting in my laptop eager to be released and we still are producing more tracks, remixes and collaborations with other artists. This year is going to be a challenge to ourselves to try out many genres and styles that we've never done before. We also will be making Bass music consistently and are trying to create more Junkilla-ish signature sounds and styles. Tour-wise, we would love to meet up more fans abroad by having a Asia tour or maybe world tour in the future.
- Leave a message for your fans in Asia!
Hello fans in Asia. Thank you for listening and supporting our music and our story within this music. We will work harder to get to you with strong belief in our music style and good but creative music as well. Stay tuned for more of our music and hope to see you guys soon! We WILL come to your country shortly!

Uncharted was written by Brooke Forman and her co-writer/producer Grammy Award winning, Benny Reiner (Drummer of Broadway's "Hamilton"). The music video was shot and co-directed by Thor Wixom, who has been the Cinematographer/Steadicam Operator for artists, such as Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled,The Chainsmokers, Kendrick Lamar, G-Eazy, Cardi B, Halsey & Kanye West. Dancer Struther White, co-directed, choreographed and appeared in the video. Uncharted portrays a relationship in three parts. Starting from the evolving butterfly moments, which take a turn, unraveling the deepest and most delicate pieces one can share with another. Ending, Uncharted rings true to the heart-wrenching farewell of a relationship after it leaves you standing alone.
"I wanted to try something that pushed me out of my comfort zone to make me feel vulnerable because that is the raw state of emotion that is happening in the song. For me, that was dance, something that I have never done before, but wanted to travel to a place creatively that was Uncharted territory just like the lyrics of the song. I was a bit nervous to attempt something so unfamiliar, but for me, the most important thing was not about being the best dancer, but to tell the truth of the story the song represents through movement alongside of an extremely beautiful contemporary dancer".
"I wrote this record when I was at that extreme point of vulnerability when in love. I was too afraid to say those words out loud to him so my way of communicating it was by writing this song. The lyrics "to be loyal, yet to be free" pretty much sums me up as a person. I love to love, I am extremely loyal like a lion, but in that I need someone who trusts and understands my nomadic need to roam free. I gave him the song with hand written lyrics on paper, put it on his bed with a pair of headphones and candles lit in the room, as my way of saying "I love you." He broke up with me the next day and although he left as my ex, I was left with the birth of this song "Uncharted".

After the launch of a “Wavo Remix Competition” for his single "Brave Love ft. Jmi Sissoko" Dr. Shiver handpicked 5 top notch remixes to create an unreal remix package released via his own label "Art & Music Recordings". Starting with the winners "Rockyz & Galex" coming to Floats, M+IKE, Guiigs and AviTheAwesome, the remixes are made to satisfy any musical taste, from Future Bass to Progressive House.
Dr. Shiver: the Interview:
Hi Bruno, you just released an awesome remix pack for your hit song "brave love". How did you choose the remixers?
When I released Brave Love, I thought “ this vocal definitely deserves a few new remixes” so the first thing I did was getting a great house remix from my brother Solberjum. At that point I thought “why not give a chance to some upcoming talented artists?” and my own imprint Art&Music Recording was already partner with WAVO so the next step was easy to take. We ran a very cool remix competition on WAVO that allowed us to discover some new fresh talents. Once all the remixes were delivered, I did a nice live streaming session from our Art&Music Recording studios where I heard all the remixes giving real time advices and that’s how I made the final decision.
You recently celebrated 8 years of activity of your label Art & Music Recordings. What's the biggest achievement you think you reached until now?
There are a few things that make particularly proud: discovering Serebro and signing the triple platinum record “Mama Lover”, opening our Art&Music Recording Studios when I was only 27, that are still the biggest recording studios in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe, working with huge artists such as Pharrell Williams, Little Louie Vega just to name a few. Doing the first official and authorized remix of the historical hit “You’ve got the Love”, using for the very first time, after Frankie Knuckles, the original 1986 Candi Staton vocal, achieving with this remix, not only support from the biggest Djs in the world, but also a top 5 in the UK Pop chart.
You use to work with many young talented musicians, helping them to build their brand. What do you think about the Rockyz and Galex ?
When I first heard their remix, I thought “these guys have a lot of experience in producing”, so when I discovered that they were very new in the scene I thought “damn it! These kids really have something to say...”. When, in the end, I found out that they are Italian, I felt very proud.
Rockyz and Galex: The Interview
How and why do you guys teamed-up to produce this remix? you often work together?
We have known each other since the first year of high school. When we met for the first time, we started to talk about music and the next day we were in the studio together trying to create something. It was not bad but the tracks were not at the highest quality. In January I read about “Dr Shiver - Brave Love contest” on WAVO so I called Galex and asked him to have a go at it. He sent me some really good chords, I started to work on it and in just 6 days we finished the remix. We work together very often and we love to experiment with new stuff.
Are you happy to be the winner of this big remix contest? what's your feelings about that?
I couldn’t believe it when I heard Galex and myself being announced by Dr Shiver as winners, so I called Galex and we met to celebrate the victory.
Your style is fresh and actual, which DAW and Plugin you use most?
I use Logic while Galex uses Fl studio. I always use Sylenth and Spire to make chords and Massive to do the bass-line. I also use plugins like serum or trash2 to distort the sound. In the remix the chops are made by Galex with the slicer, while Dr. Shiver finalized mixing and mastering at Art&Music Recording Studios.
What's your next plan for the future? Any new collaboration in progress?
We have a new track we are working on at the moment We hope to make other good tracks and maybe release other things on Art & Music Recording.

Because of the close bond between the German techno producer and Tomorrowland, the two parties teamed up to bring something truly remarkable to celebrate the last 100 Days until Tomorrowland's 2018 edition. A livestream performance will took place on the legendary One World bridge in De Schorre, the venue where Tomorrowland takes place since year one. Year after year, Paul always brings joyful grand techno into the hearts of the People of Tomorrow.
The past two years, Paul was invited to bring his unique setting to the Mainstage. In all secret he plays live from the One World bridge... Where thousands of inspiring, warm hearted messages are written by the People of Tomorrow. Paul brings well known compositions in his own authentic way, but will also perform brand new productions coming from his new album Parts Of Life.
Paul Kalkbrenner's eighth album, Parts Of Life (May 18) comes a decade after his Double Platinum selling LP Berlin Calling, and feels similarly definitive for an artist who has spent the last 10 years topping charts and performing his singular strain of grand techno to ever growing audiences.
Parts of Life, follows Paul's Back To The Future trilogy, chronicling the arrival of techno in Berlin in the late 80s. It's clear those raw, stripped down early recordings left their mark. Parts of Life feels lean and elemental but big and joyful, it's a timeless record marked by invigoration.
This is Paul's most personal and revealing work, delivered in its purest form. Each track is simply titled with the working file number used in production. The album's still life cover, painted over a two year period by Paul's uncle Paul Eisel, offers another glimpse of Paul, depicting a series of unique personal objects.
Parts Of Life features 15 tracks named with the file numbers Kalkbrenner used during production. Its cover art is a painting from his uncle, Paul Eisel, depicting a collection of "unique personal objects."

As soon he headed back from Miami Ultra 2018, where he first performed on "The Arrival Stage" and then presented his new song on the legendary "Main Stage", we had the chance to sit down with him for an exclusive interview!
Can you take us inside the production process and share some insight about your inspiration/sketch, songwriting, and key elements of your music ?
I admit that I spend a lot of time in various production studies, it is an activity that I love because it is stimulating. The first phase of a creative project I do like "the old way": paper, pen and ideas. Once the idea has taken shape, I write the first drafts of the piece with the piano and at the same time I research the sounds and the instruments to be used. So the construction of a song is made of continuous listening and corrections, until you feel that shiver that suggests that the song is ready. The inspiration for my works derives and represents what I am: a traveler always looking for new places that tell me new sounds, but above all passion for what I do is my love for the life!
You’ve recently collaborated with Flo Rida. Which collab of yours has been your favorite and why? Who is one artist you still hope to work with one day?
The collaboration with Flo Rida and pop singer Marta Sanchez is very important because thanks to the song Basketball I managed to get to the stage of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami for the very first time last march 2017 and make me known. I can say that the most performing project of my career is my brand new , still unreleased single: Moonlight Fiesta featuring Sean Paul (the track will be released worldwide next 18.th may). One day I hope to: use the fantastic voice of Michael Jackson, make a record with Katy Perry and collaborate with the Major Lazer.
This year you’ve enjoyed an incredible run of shows worldwide, so what have been some highlights and why?
Yes, I am super satisfied with the work I have done during the past year. It all started with my first participation at the Ultra Music Festival and after a few months at Ultra Europe. I have participated in various festivals and many dates in many clubs around the world. I can not but mention the fantastic tour in India.
I admit with pride that every event represented a moment of growth but above all of professional improvement, always trying to add something to my performance and / or to me as an artist.
What has you excited for 2018? What are two goals you guys hope to achieve next year?
For this 2018/2019 I have a strong desire to get on the stage of the sunburn festival in india, I would like to make a big collaboration maybe with some colleague I admire as for example Timmy Trumpet or David Guetta. I want to continue to travel the world and grow both as an artist as a person!
If you would choose up to 5 songs, which track would you play most in your recent sets?
My most recent sets are 4 shows at Miami Music Week, one of which at the Ultra Music Festival 2018, both in Miami and in the last months in other parts of the world, I use about 100 tracks. Many of these are my personal Edits or various mashups that are not yet in circulation and several of my unpublished ones in the test phase. The 5 original trak that I love the most during my Live are:
- CHECK THIS / TJR, REECE LOW FT. FATMAN SCOOP
- CHAKRA / W & W x VINI VICI
- SHAPE OF YOU / ED SHEERAN
- PIRATES / WILL SPARKS & BEN NICKY
- SPACE JAM / MAKJ & Michael Sparks ft. Fatman Scoop
Please leave a message for your fans in Asia!
During my first India tour I was lucky enough to know a part of this fascinating country but above all to make new friends. The experience in India was special, the kind people and the crowd at the events charged. The message for my fans is: "In May I'll be back for the new Asian tour so get ready to dance and have fun together!"
